Nestlé sells Gateway infant formula plant to Perrigo Company plc

On October 31, 2022, Nestlé Canada Inc. closed the sale of its Gateway infant formula plant in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and the U.S. and Canadian rights to the Good Start® infant formula brand to Perrigo Company plc "Perrigo". This strategic investment by Perrigo will expand and strengthen is U.S. infant formula manufacturing, which is expected to strengthen industry capacity, enhance consumer choice and increase access to safe and affordable infant formula. Perrigo has begun operating the Good Start® infant formula brand in Canada and the U.S., while Nestlé continues to fulfill its Women Infants and Childrens contracts to ensure uninterrupted supply.
