RE/MAX Holdings Acquired by Real in US$880M Business Combination

On August 24, 2026, RE/MAX Holdings, Inc. ("RE/MAX Holdings") completed its previously announced business combination with The Real Brokerage Inc. ("Real"). The combined company now operates under the name Real REMAX Group Inc. ("Real REMAX Group").

Under the terms of the transaction, former Real shareholders and former RE/MAX Holdings stockholders received shares of Real REMAX Group, with certain RE/MAX Holdings stockholders receiving a combination of cash and shares pursuant to the terms of the merger agreement. Real's common shares and RE/MAX Holdings' Class A Common Stock ceased trading following the completion of the transaction, and shares of Real REMAX Group began trading on Nasdaq under the symbol "REAX" on August 25, 2026.

RE/MAX Holdings, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, franchises real estate brokerages globally under the RE/MAX brand and mortgage brokerages within the U.S. under the Motto Mortgage brand. RE/MAX Holdings has more than 145,000 agents in nearly 8,500 offices and a presence in more than 120 countries and territories.

Real is a Miami, Florida-based real estate experience company that combines real estate, mortgage and closing services with technology. Real has a presence throughout the U.S. and Canada, and supports more than 33,000 agents.
