Jacob recently completed his second year at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. Before law school, he completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto (where he majored in political science) and a Master of Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University. He was active in student news at both schools, producing issues of The Strand at the University of Toronto and TMU’s Review of Journalism, where he co-founded the Review’s weekly podcast.

In law school, Jacob has been active in oral advocacy, both mooting and trial-level programs. He also volunteered with the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, where he researched the accessibility of the regime created by Bill C-20 (44-1), and Artists’ Legal Advice Services, where he assisted entertainment lawyers advising local artists on a wide array of legal issues.

Jacob spends his spare time walking his cocker spaniel named Bramble, playing Dungeons & Dragons, and enjoying B-movies.
