Wyloo Metals completes acquisition of TSXV-listed Noront Resources

On April 7, 2022, Wyloo Metals Pty Ltd. (“Wyloo Metals”) completed its acquisition of all of the shares of Noront Resources Ltd. (“Noront”) that it did not already own pursuant to a plan of arrangement. This followed a contested takeover battle with BHP for control of Noront.

Wyloo Metals is the metals and mining subsidiary of Tattarang, one of Australia’s largest private investment groups headed by billionaire Andrew Forrest.

Noront engages in the acquisition, development, and exploration of base and precious metals in the Ring of Fire in Ontario. It explores for nickel, copper, zinc, platinum group metals, chromite, iron, titanium, vanadium, gold, and silver.
