Suleiman Semalulu holds both a Master and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Acadia University. He recently graduated from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in spring of 2020.
While in law school he volunteered in programs such as Student Legal Assistance, Pro Bono Students Canada, and the Venture Clinic. He also played on the University of Calgary law school rugby team and helped them win back to back championships in 2018 and 2019. Sou also worked as a legal research assistant at the University of Calgary. His work revolved around the Faculty of Law’s efforts to further develop and improve its Indigenous Strategy. In his third year, Suleiman participated in an International Energy Law Study Group Program at the London School of Economics.
In his spare time, Suleiman enjoys boxing, golfing, skiing, and weightlifting.
Interesting Fact: During his final year of law school Sou competed in an amateur boxing match.
