Novalee is an associate in the Business Law group in Toronto. She maintains a general corporate law practice.
In law school, Novalee served as co-president of the Black Law Students’ Association. She was on the team that created and launched the ground-breaking Black Future Lawyers program to support Black students who aspire to be lawyers. She was also the National Moot Director for the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot. Novalee won the University of Toronto Student Leadership Award upon her graduation in 2022.
During law school, Novalee was a caseworker at the Downtown Legal Services clinic in the Criminal Law and University Offences Division. She worked as a research assistant for Professor Kent Roach, focusing on constitutional remedies in domestic, foreign, and supranational jurisdictions. Novalee was also a Rotman OnBoard Fellow with the Fort York Food Bank.
Novalee obtained her Honours BA in Legal Studies and Business with a minor in Speech Communication from the University of Waterloo. She completed her joint JD/MBA degree at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Rotman School of Management in 2022.
Novalee was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023 after summering and articling at the firm. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
