Kyle Robert McMillan is an associate in our Litigation Group in Calgary. He maintains a general corporate commercial litigation practice and has experience in oil and gas disputes, commercial tenancy disputes post-secondary education, and employment matters.
In law school Kyle acted as student director of the Tax Court Assistance Program at Student Legal Assistance, and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada on an environmental law research project. He also took a keen interest in energy law and was honoured to be selected for both the Energy Law Tour and Alberta Utilities Commission Internship courses. in 2017 he received the Hope and Ian McLaren Cook Sr. Scholarship awarded for the top mark in Oil and Gas Law.
Kyle received Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the University of Manitoba in geology before working for several years as a Professional Geoscientist in Canada and internationally. He graduated from the University of Calgary with Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees.
Kyle is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and Calgary Bar Association, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, and the National Association of Parliamentarians.
