Kelsey Franks is an associate in our Business Law Group in Vancouver. She maintains a general corporate and commercial practice, with a focus on issues related to technology, privacy and cybersecurity.
Kelsey has extensive experience drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of technology, outsourcing and general commercial agreements across the public and private sectors with expertise in finance, telecommunication and retail. Kelsey is a member of the firm’s National Cyber/Data and Technology Group and is a frequent contributor to, and editor of, the firm’s TechLex Blog.
Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Kelsey obtained her B.A. (Honours) in Political Science and International Relations from the University of British Columbia in 2014 and her B.C.L./LL.B. from McGill University in 2018. While at law school, she served as an editor for various publications, including as an Executive Editor of the McGill Law Journal.
Kelsey was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2019. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association, as well as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Canada).
