Josiah Schaafsma is an associate in the firm’s Real Property & Planning Group in Toronto. He maintains a general commercial real estate practice.

Josiah joined McCarthy Tétrault as a summer student in 2021 and returned to article with the firm after receiving his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School. During law school, Josiah acted as a community mediator for the Osgoode Mediation Clinic and served on the executive team for Osgoode’s Pro Bono Students Canada Chapter. Prior to attending law school, Josiah graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University and obtained his Honours Bachelor of Arts & Science.

Josiah was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
