Jocelyn Turnbull Wallace is a partner in our Litigation Group in Calgary. She maintains a general corporate commercial litigation and arbitration practice. She has represented clients on various matters which include complex oil and gas disputes, construction disputes, municipal law matters, securities litigation, contract disputes and debt claims.

Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Jocelyn articled and practiced at a large Calgary firm, where she gained experience in general litigation, international and domestic arbitration, and dispute resolution practices. Jocelyn gained broad experience in disputes including: joint venture and joint operating agreements, royalty payments, fraud, conspiracy, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary obligations, insider trading, well failures, debt, insurance claims, product liability, employment issues, expropriation, trademark and copyright, and shareholder oppression.

Jocelyn has been appointed as an ICC YAF Regional Representative for North America for the 2021-2023 term. Jocelyn is designated as an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb) and is an editor for the firm’s International Arbitration Blog. Jocelyn is an active member of the Young Canadian Arbitration Practitioners (YCAP) organization, assisting most recently with designing programing for the 2021 Fall Symposium. She also frequently volunteers for the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Project and the Queen’s Bench Amicus Project which provide pro bono legal advice to unrepresented individuals within the Alberta courts.

Jocelyn obtained her JD from the University of Manitoba, Robson Hall Law School. During law school, she was awarded a Robson Hall Court of Queen’s Bench Clerkship along with several awards and prizes. Jocelyn also served as Student Editor for the inaugural edition of the Canadian Journal of Human Rights. 

She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Calgary Bar Association. Jocelyn was also named “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers in Canada.
