Jason is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.

Before law school, Jason obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at the University of Manitoba, majoring in Political Science with first-class honours. As an undergraduate student, Jason served as the president of a political party's campus club, later working for the party and campaigning with them during provincial and federal elections. Jason also worked as a research assistant for Dr. Andrea Charron to create a sanctions information website which deepened his passion for international trade.

At the University of Toronto, Jason is an open-source investigator with the faculty's International Human Rights Program (IHRP) investigating human rights violations in Venezuela. Jason also serves as the online editor of the Rights Review. Additionally, Jason combined his interests in international trade and anti-corruption by founding the Student Organized Crime Club to study connections between organized crime and the legal profession.

Outside of school, Jason spent his summers working various jobs, including bartending, landscaping, constituency work, and policy analysis for the federal government. Jason also volunteered as communications chair of the Canadian International Council’s Winnipeg Branch, helping to facilitate foreign policy-focused events.

For fun, Jason enjoys playing basketball, downhill mountain biking, and watching Formula 1.
