Jason is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.

Before law school, Jason obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at the University of Manitoba, majoring in Political Science with first-class honours. As an undergraduate student, Jason served as the president of a political party's campus club, later working for the party and campaigning with them during provincial and federal elections. Jason also worked as a research assistant to create a sanctions information website which deepened his passion for international trade.

At the University of Toronto, Jason is a Deputy Director with the faculty's International Human Rights Program (IHRP) Venezuela Accountability Project and serves as a senior editor and online editor of the Rights Review publication. Jason is also a proud member of the Indigenous Law Students’ Association (ILSA).

Outside of school, Jason previously spent his summers working various jobs, including bartending, landscaping, constituency work, and policy analysis for the federal government. Jason also volunteered as communications chair of the Canadian International Council’s Winnipeg Branch, helping to facilitate foreign policy-focused events.

For fun, Jason enjoys playing basketball, downhill mountain biking, and watching Formula 1.
