Britney Schyf is an associate in our Business Law Group in Toronto. She maintains a general business law practice advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, and corporate finance.

Britney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University and a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University. During law school, Britney completed a placement with the Queen’s Business Law Clinic, where she provided pro bono legal services to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. Britney spent a summer working at Queen’s Elder Law Clinic where she assisted clients with basic estate and financial planning matters. In addition, Britney was an active member of the First-Generation Student Network (Queen’s Chapter) and ProBono Students Canada.

Prior to attending Queen’s, Britney worked in the legal department of a finance company. In this role, she supported in-house counsel with resolving different legal and regulatory matters.

Britney joined the firm as a summer student in 2021 and completed her articles with the firm in 2023. Britney was called to the Ontario Bar in 2023.
