Vantage Airport Group to develop, finance, and operate state-of-the-art automated air cargo facility at the Miami International Airport

The Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners has approved the development and construction of a US$400M multi-level automated air cargo facility (the “VICC”) at the Miami International Airport. The VICC will be a state-of-the-art facility providing automated and mechanized cargo handlings system which will support a high volume of cargo throughput and address land constraint issues. The project is being undertaken by Miami Gateway Partners, with Vantage as the majority member, who will engage in the development, financing, long-term operation and maintenance of the VICC. 

McCarthy Tétrault LLP advised Vantage on all aspects of the transaction including the terms of its development agreement, project company agreement, and master development and lease agreement.
