Erin Jackes is an associate in the Vancouver Labour and Employment Group. Erin provides insightful support to clients navigating the complexities of labour, employment, human rights, occupational health and safety, and privacy issues.

Erin earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Victoria, where she actively contributed to numerous access to justice initiatives and was selected to represent the University of Victoria in the 2021 Gale Cup Moot. Additionally, she served as a research assistant for Professor Gerry Ferguson, focusing on global corruption, and as a research officer for an independent office of the legislature. Following law school, Erin clerked for four justices of the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

Prior to practicing law, Erin made significant contributions as a frontline social worker. Her experiences in both local non-profit and internationally connected organizations, coupled with a Bachelor and a Master of Social Work, equip her with a deep understanding of the social dimensions that frequently intersect with labour and employment matters.

Erin was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2023. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the British Columbia Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
