Sam was born in Bangladesh and grew up in a desert beachside town in Oman.
Sam is a law student at the University of Victoria. He has an undergraduate degree in English Literature from there as well. Before law school, Sam did queer advocacy and community engagement in Vancouver. During his time at UVic Law, Sam served as an elected member of the Admissions Committee, and as the Victoria Clinic Coordinator for the Artists’ Legal Outreach Clinic. He also acted as the Equity Representative for the UVic Law chapter of the South-Asian Law Students’ Association.
Being passionate about giving back, Sam was an upper-year law student volunteer in a PBSC project, which involved plain language presentation of general legal information in matters of immigration and residential tenancy law.
Sam enjoys being creative, making chai, hosting dinner nights, and spending time with his two favourite kittens Basil and Benji.
