Nicholas is an associate in the firm’s Real Property & Planning Group in Toronto. His practice focuses primarily on secured lending transactions and project finance, including loan syndications for property development projects, and acquisitions and dispositions. Nicholas advises a wide range of clients, including public and private REITs, and institutional and private investors and lenders.
Nicholas joined McCarthy Tétrault as a summer student in 2019. Prior to joining the firm, he worked in real estate and finance at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ corporate office in Toronto. At Four Seasons, Nicholas assisted in the successful launch of numerous mixed-use hotel and residential developments in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Southeast Asia. Nicholas received his JD from the University of Windsor where he was the recipient of the Judge Joseph P. McMahon Award for academic excellence. While in law school, he acted as a member of the OCI Student Advisor Committee and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Brain Injury Association of Windsor and Essex County.
Nicholas was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
In his free time, Nicholas enjoys playing golf, riding his motorcycle, and working towards his Private Pilot License.
