Matthew is an associate in our Business Law Group in Calgary. He maintains a practice including corporate finance and securities, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate governance matters. Matthew frequently works with clients in the technology, clean energy, mining, oil & gas, consumer goods, and cannabis industries.

Matthew has experience advising clients on a variety of corporate transactions, including public and private M&A, private placements, public offerings, asset and share transactions, and corporate reorganizations. He often advises start-up and entrepreneurial ventures in their corporate affairs. Matthew also works with public companies to ensure regulatory compliance with securities laws and stock exchange rules, including continuous disclosure requirements.

Matthew completed his Juris Doctor at Western University while concurrently completing an Honours in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business. During his time at Western University, Matthew was setter and captain of the Western Men’s Volleyball Team.

Matthew was called to the Alberta bar in 2021 and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Calgary Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association.
