Margaret Gavins is counsel in the Labour and Employment group in Toronto.
Margaret has been practising management-side labour and employment law since 1994. She provides practical advice and legal analysis concerning all aspects of workplace law. She has advised on workforce acquisitions, mergers and restructuring involving some of Canada’s largest employers.
Margaret's practice focuses on legal research and writing. She has prepared pleadings and written arguments in labour and employment litigation at all levels of court and before numerous tribunals. Her publications include Federal Labour Law and Practice, published by Canada Law Book in 2013.
Margaret obtained her B.A. (Hons.) from the University of Toronto in 1987 and her LL.B. from the University of Toronto in 1992.
Margaret is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario.
