Katherine Griffin holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and completed her undergraduate degree in Paris, France in the Europe-Africa program at Sciences Po Paris. In the final year of her undergraduate studies, she undertook internships with locally founded arts and culture organizations in South Africa and Morocco. Prior to law school, Katherine worked with refugee claimants in Vancouver as a Settlement Worker, and later as Acting Program Coordinator.

At Osgoode, Katherine received the Medico – Legal Society of Toronto Prize and was involved in a diverse range of initiatives throughout law school, including her roles as Research Assistant for the Refugee Law Lab, Co-Director of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) Osgoode chapter, Dean’s Fellow for Criminal Law, volunteer advocate with Fair Change Community Services, and volunteer with the GTA Wills Project through Pro Bono Students Canada. As a caseworker at Parkdale Community Legal Services, Katherine also gained experience in a wide variety of employment law and human rights issues.

In her spare time, Katherine loves hiking, volunteering with community organizations, live music, cross-country skiing, and relaxing with a book.
