Emil is entering his final year at Western, where he is completing a combined J.D. and Honors Business Administration degree with Ivey Business School. Before law school, Emil spent his summers working for a start-up private equity firm in Toronto and as a camp counsellor for an indigenous youth literacy program in Northern Ontario. During the summer after his first year, Emil worked for a litigation financing firm in New York.
At Western, Emil has been active in a number of extra-curricular activities. He co-founded the Western Human Rights Law Student’s Society in an effort to raise awareness and activism for global human rights issues. He volunteers for Pro Bono Students Canada, where he works at a local legal clinic that provides advice and support for tenants. Emil also developed an interest in advocacy and mooting, most recently having represented Western at the 2020 Gale Cup.
In his free time, Emil enjoys boxing, playing guitar, and watching bad Netflix Originals.
