Drawing on his experience in both municipal government and private practice, Daniel's in-depth knowledge of real estate and urban planning policy assists clients in strategically and efficiently navigating the development approval process.
Daniel Angelucci is an associate in our Real Property & Planning Group in Toronto. He maintains a general practice with a focus on municipal and land use planning law.
Daniel has experience providing strategic advice for obtaining municipal planning approval for significant development projects, navigating complex environmental law matters, and advising clients with respect to major public sector infrastructure and institutional projects. He also has experience with appeals of matters before the Ontario Land Tribunal (formerly the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal and Ontario Municipal Board) and the Toronto Local Appeal Body.
Daniel received his JD from the Faculty of Law at Queen’s University, and has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Urban Planning with a specialization in Land Development from the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo. In his third year of law school, Daniel studied international institutional and international business law while on exchange at the University of Groningen in Groningen, Netherlands. Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault, Daniel gained experience working in municipal government, a full-service law firm, and a boutique land development and litigation law firm.
Daniel was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021, and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Ontario Bar Association.
Daniel also volunteers for The 519 Trans ID Clinic, where he assists transgender people with navigating the provincial and federal application processes to receive gender-affirming legal identification and documentation."
