Caroline H. Humphrey is an associate in our Litigation Group in Toronto. She maintains a broad litigation practice.

Caroline is developing expertise in the areas of class actions, competition law, contract disputes, privacy, and professional negligence. She has experience with urgent proceedings for injunctive relief, Anton Piller orders, Norwich orders, and injunctions relating to the protection of copyright. On the regulatory side, Caroline acts as a Prosecutor before the Ontario College of Teachers’ Discipline Committee and Fitness to Practise Committee.

Caroline has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Divisional Court, and the Superior Court of Justice.

Caroline is fluently bilingual and assists clients both in English and French. 

Prior to joining the Firm, Caroline clerked at the Federal Court of Canada for the Honourable Justice B. Richard Bell.

Caroline received her JD from the Faculté de droit of the Université de Moncton in 2016, where she was the recipient of scholarships from the Department of Canadian Heritage for academic achievement. In law school, Caroline participated in the National Trial Advocacy Competition (the Sopinka Cup), where she was awarded Best Overall Advocate and received an Award for Excellence from the American College of Trial Lawyers. She also participated in the Gale Cup Moot in 2016 and the Faculté de droit’s competitive moot in 2015.

In 2013, Caroline graduated from the Université de Montréal with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science.

Caroline was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario, and The Advocates’ Society.
