Bruna Kalinoski is an associate in our Intellectual Property Litigation Group in Toronto. Her experience spans the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, and high-tech systems and software industries. Her practice focuses on intellectual property disputes, with emphasis on complex, high-stakes Patent Law litigation. Bruna also practices in the area of Copyright, Technology, Anti-Spam, Data, and Privacy Laws.

Before joining McCarthy Tétrault, Bruna served as law clerk to the Hon. Justice Eladio Rocha of the Court of Appeal of the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. She was routinely engaged in appeal proceedings, assisting in deliberations on a broad array of civil and commercial disputes. In Canada, Bruna obtained significant experience in IP and Technology Law while interning at a multi-lingual law boutique with focus on IP, licensing, and international laws. She subsequently summered and articled at McCarthy Tétrault in our IP Litigation and Technology practice groups.

Bruna is an Osgoode Hall Law School alumnus (LL.M. degree) and remains editor for the IPilogue — Osgoode’s Intellectual Property Law Blog. While at Osgoode, Bruna served as research and teaching assistant in both Contract Law & Tort Law competencies. She received her LL.B from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Bruna was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Bar Association. Bruna is also fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish.
