Xilinx acquires NGCodec

On July 1, 2019, Xilinx Inc. announced that it has acquired NGCodec Inc. The transaction will provide Xilinx with valuable video encoding technology that will help grow its cloud video capabilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Xilinx is a San José-based technology company that designs and develops programmable devices and associated technologies. It is listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market under the ticker XLNX.
NGCodec specializes in low-latency cloud video encoding. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, it also has an office in Waterloo, Ontario.
