Office Involved

Value

6 Billion CAD

On April 30, 2024, following a competitive procurement process, the Province of British Columbia has selected a preferred proponent team to design, build and finance the elevated guideway and associated roadworks, utilities and active transportation elements of the Surrey Langley SkyTrain.

We are advising the lenders to SkyLink Guideway Partners, the consortium formed by Dragados Canada, Inc. and Ledcor Investments Inc. in its bid to design, build and finance the elevated guideway, roadworks and utilities, as well as active transportation elements of the new Surrey Langley SkyTrain.

The project is a nearly 10-mile extension of the SkyTrain Expo Line that will be the first rapid transit expansion south of the Fraser River in 30 years. The project will operate along an elevated guideway and include eight stations and three transit exchanges.

Once complete, residents in the region will be able to travel between Langley City and Surrey Center in approximately 22 minutes and between Langley and downtown Vancouver, B.C., in just more than an hour.

McCarthy Tétrault advised the lenders with a team led by Morgan Troke, Samantha Cunliffe (Business), and Linda Brown (Project Finance) that included Liezl Behm, Jenna Clark, and Kara Bodie (Business).
