La Mancha completes US$125.7M strategic investment in Golden Star Resources

On October 2, 2018, La Mancha Holding S.à r.l. announced that it has completed the US$125.7 million strategic investment in Golden Star Resources Ltd. La Mancha acquired approximately 30% of the outstanding shares of Golden Star, making La Mancha the largest shareholder in Golden Star. The investment will provide Golden Star with a funding position to participate in the consolidation of the African gold mining sector.

La Mancha is a private gold investment company based in Luxembourg.

Golden Star is a gold mining company that owns and operates the Wassa and Prestea mines on the Ashanti Gold Belt in Ghana, West Africa. Headquartered in Toronto, Golden Star is listed on the NYSE American, the Toronto Stock Exchange and the Ghanaian Stock Exchange.
