On February 1, 2021, Les Disques Audiogramme Inc. (Audiogram), an iconic record company was acquired by Musique Select Inc., a subsidiary of Québecor Media Inc.
Audiogram is based in Montréal and is the largest independent French-language record label in North America which properties include its subsidiary, Éditorial Avenue, Canada’s largest French-language music publisher.
Musique Select Inc., based in Montréal, developed a large expertise in the production, distribution and promotion of cultural and sporting events and is a subsidiary of Québecor Media Inc., a media conglomerate whose main activities are focused on telecommunications, media and sport entertainment.
McCarthy Tétrault LLP advised the shareholders of Audiogram with a team led by Marc Dorion and Mathieu LeBlanc that included Alexandre Saulnier-Marceau, Mireille Trottier (M&A); Marie-Soleil Landry (Tax); Jacques Rousse, Diana Theophiopoulos, Camille Bélanger (Labour and Employment); and Marie Pier Gosselin (Real Property and Planning).
