Viterra Inc. acquires Gavilon Agriculture Investment, Inc.

On October 3, 2022, Viterra Inc. completed its US$1.125 billion acquisition of the grain and ingredients businesses of Gavilon Agriculture Investment, Inc., creating one of the world’s leading agribusiness companies.

Viterra Inc. is a global agri-business with operations in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and China. Viterra operates three distinct, inter-related businesses: Grain Handling & Marketing, Agri-Products and Processing, enabling it to generate earnings at various points on the food production chain from field to the table.
