On August 2, 2022, GrubMarket completed the acquisition of IOT Pay Technologies Inc. (" IOT Pay"). GrubMarket will leverage IOT Pay's technology and payments infrastructure to address the food supply chain industry's accelerating need for faster, more flexible, and more robust digital payment and financing opportunities.

IOT Pay is a Canadian payment solution leader that enables merchants to accept omnichannel payment in-store and online on a global scale.

GrubMarket is a San Francisco-based food technology company operating in the space of food supply chain eCommerce for both business customers and end consumers, as well as providing related software-as-a-service solutions.

McCarthy Tétrault acted as Canadian counsel for IOT Pay with a team that included Joyce Lee and Gerald Gaunt (Business).
