Federal Privacy Commissioner Publishes Survey of Canadian Businesses on Privacy Issues
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (the “OPC”) recently published the results of the 2019-20 Survey of Canadian business on privacy-related issues (the “Study”). OPC conducted the Study to assist it with providing guidance to large and small businesses regarding areas for improvement on protecting their customers’ privacy. The Study collected data on privacy policies and practices business have in place, business’ compliance with the law, and business’ awareness and approaches to privacy protection. For a discussion and analysis of the key findings and take-aways from the Study, please see the blog post on our TechLex blog, available here.
