Meena Alnajar is an associate in our Litigation, Bankruptcy & Restructuring groups in Toronto. Her practice focuses on litigation, commercial insolvency, and restructuring.
While in law school, Meena completed the Intellectual Property Law and Technology Intensive program where she worked as a legal intern at a large pharmaceutical company and received the highest grade in the program. She received multiple awards for her efforts in law school, including the Honourable F.H. Barlow Scholarship for academic achievement in commercial law courses, the Earl Cherniak, Q.C. Award for her demonstrated interest in advocacy, and the Bruce Leonard Prize in Insolvency Studies. Meena was President of Osgoode Women’s Network, providing legal resources to empower women in law and fundraising for charitable organizations. She also worked as a research assistant in bankruptcy and insolvency law and has co-authored the paper “Understanding the Neutrals in Canadian Insolvency Proceedings” published in the Chicago-Kent Law Review (2023).
Meena has previous experience in the life sciences, having completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science with a minor in biology from McMaster University. Meena spent her undergraduate summers working as a research assistant in Dr. Juliet Daniel’s cancer biology lab, investigating the mechanisms of triple negative breast cancer. Meena obtained her JD from Osgoode Hall Law School.
