ENGIE Services Inc. closes a 33-year PPP contract with Library and Archives Canada for C$330M

On June 18, 2019, ENGIE Services Inc., ("ENGIE") as part of the Plenary Properties Gatineau consortium, announcing closing a 33-year PPP contract with Library and Archives Canada ("LAC") for $330 million. The contract involves the design, construction, financing, maintenance and operation of a new preservation facility in Ottawa. The new preservation facility will be the first net zero carbon preservation building in North America, and will be the first Canadian government building built to meet the requirements of Canada's Greening Government Strategy. ENGIE will also be responsible for providing facility management for two of LAC's facilities throughout the 33-year term and will also assume operations and management of the existing facility.

The Plenary Properties Gatineau consortium also includes: Plenary Group (Canada) Ltd., PCL Investments Inc., PCL Constructors Eastern Inc. and B+H Architects.

ENGIE is a facilities management solutions provider that prioritizes energy efficiency for private and public customers in Canada and the United States.

LAC is a federal institution responsible for acquiring, preserving, and making Canada's heritage accessible to the public.
