Robin MacAulay is McCarthy Tétrault’s National Chief Professional Resource Officer, based in the Toronto office.

A people focused leader, Robin is committed to ensuring McCarthy Tétrault’s lawyer, student and paraprofessional talent management programs and practices are unparalleled in the market. She is an integral member of the team, with a mandate to advance all aspects of professional development and engagement for the firm’s legal professionals. As a member of the firm’s leadership team, Robin works closely with firm leaders to implement talent management programs across our offices.

Robin is a strategic thinker focused on executing the goals and objectives of the firm, while expertly managing impacts on the culture of the partnership. She has a well-honed ability to read both people and situations, to achieve top results in lawyer recruitment, talent management, and leadership development.

First articling with McCarthy Tétrault in 1994/95, Robin went on to practice in the firm’s Litigation and Business Law Groups, and she brings a wealth of legal knowledge to the Chief Professional Resource Officer role. Robin has also served as an in-house counsel for two leading telecommunications companies between 2000 and mid-2006.

Robin holds an LLB from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law (1994), an MA (Regional Studies - East Asia) from Harvard University (1990), and a BA (History/East Asian Studies) from Middlebury College (1988). Robin was called to the Ontario bar in 1996.
