The occupant of the White House has great implications for Canada and for your business.

After an election cycle that has dominated world news throughout the pandemic, former Vice President Joe Biden will face President Donald J. Trump at the polls on November 3, 2020. It has been one of the most polarizing, volatile contests in US history. The outcome will have unprecedented impact on the American people and economy, but will be far-reaching and global in influence.

Here in Canada, our relationship with the nation’s largest trading partner is at stake. All industries will feel the effect of the President’s trade and diplomatic policies.

On Tuesday, November 10th, join McCarthy Tétrault’s political and legal panel as they discuss the impact of the election on business leaders and the short and long-term impact on Canadian and global markets.

Panelists will include:

Moderating the discussion will be Alison Smith, one of Canada’s best known and respected broadcast journalists. Alison was a senior award-winning member of the CBC News team covering provincial and federal politics, and major international current events including being the Washington correspondent from 2005 to 2009 covering Barack Obama’s first historic election.
