Taha Qureshi is an associate in our Business Law Group in Toronto. He maintains a general business law practice.
Taha completed his JD at Western University’s Faculty of Law in 2016. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Joint Honours) in Honours Science and Economics from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Toronto where his interests focused on the potential role of Islamic Finance in mitigating the impact of systemic financial crises. While in law school, Taha was actively involved with Community Legal Services and the Western Business Law Clinic assisting start-up companies with early stage legal needs.
Prior to studying law, Taha worked as a research assistant at a Columbia University Alzheimer's Lab and a Cornell University Breast Cancer Stem Cell Lab, investigating the molecular processes behind these diseases. He has also studied the intersection of Science and Policy at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), probing the causes of, and recommending remedies for, innovation and productivity stagnation in Canada.
Taha was called to the Ontario bar in 2017. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
