Michael Cui is an associate in our Litigation Group in Toronto. He maintains a general litigation practice.

Prior to joining McCarthy Tétrault as an associate, Michael completed his articles with the firm and then clerked for Justice Judith M. Woods at the Federal Court of Appeal.

Michael completed his J.D. at Queen’s University Faculty of Law where he was named to the Dean’s Honour List each year. In law school, Michael competed in the Laskin Moot receiving a second-place team prize and the Wilson Moot receiving a third-place factum prize. Michael also received numerous academic awards including the Christopher Riggs Administrative Law Scholarship, the Vincent Principi Memorial Award in Labour Law, and course prizes in contract law and administrative law. Before law school, Michael received his Bachelor of Arts from McGill University.

Michael was called to the bar in 2022 and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario.
