On February 28, 2024, World Energy GH2 ("World Energy") and Export Development Canada, on behalf of the Government of Canada, signed definitive agreements to finance the Project Nujio'qonik, a clean power generation and clean hydrogen production project, through a US$95 million credit facility. Once complete, Project Nujio'qonik will have the capacity to produce 210 thousand tonnes of green hydrogen and 1.2 million tonnes of green ammonia, and will become Canada's first commercial Green Hydrogen plant.
World Energy, headquartered in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, is a company that uses wind power to produce Green Hydrogen.
