On November 13, 2012, Garda World Security Corporation ("Garda") announced that the consortium formed by Stephan Cretier and a subsidiary of funds advised by Apax Partners have concluded the acquisition of Garda and have acquired Garda for C$1 billion in cash, including assumed debt. 

Garda, headquartered in Montréal, Québec,  is a global provider of security and cash logistics solutions.

Apax Partners, headquartered in London, England, is one of the world's leading private equity investment groups.

Stephan Cretier is the founder, President and CEO of Garda World Security Corporation.

UBS Securities Canada, headquartered in Montréal, Québec, acted as financial advisor to the Board of Directors of Garda.

McCarthy Tétrault LLP acted for UBC, as financial advisors, with a team led by Patrick Boucher and including Eleonore Derome.
