November 5, 2020, Optimum Talent Inc. announced that it had been acquired by Illinois-based insurance brokerage and consulting firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., in a share purchase transaction.

Optimum Talent, is one of Canada’s largest privately-owned integrated talent management and HR consulting firms.

McCarthy Tétrault advised the selling shareholders of Optimum with a team co-led by Karl Tabbakh and Chrystelle Chevalier-Gagnon that included Eloïse Gagné, Laetitia Ouedraogo, Alexandra Simard, Camille Marceau, Patrick Boucher, and Andréanne St-Amand Séguin (Business), Marie-Soleil Landry (Tax), John Boscariol (International Trade & Investment), Ben Aberant and Patrick Pengelly (Labour & Employment), Stéphane Duval (Immigration), Dominic Therien (Competition/Antitrust), and Véronique Wattiez Larose (Intellectual Property).
