Rio Novo Gold Inc. merges with Aura Minerals Inc.

On March 2, 2018, Rio Novo Gold Inc. (“Rio Novo”) and Aura Minerals Inc. (“Aura”) announced the completion of their merger under the BVI Business Companies Act, 2004 under which Aura merged with Rio Novo, and Rio Novo ceased to exist as a separate corporation. Pursuant to the merger, all of the shares in Rio Novo were automatically converted into the relevant number of shares in Aura where holders of Rio Novo shares received 0.053 of an Aura share for every Rio Novo share held.
Aura is a mid-tier gold and copper production company focused on the development and operation of gold and base metal projects in the Americas. Aura has producing assets in Brazil and Honduras and a copper mine in Mexico under care & maintenance.
Rio Novo was a gold company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of gold mineral resource properties in proven mineral jurisdictions in South America.
