Renewable Energy Systems Canada Ltd. sells Forty Mile Wind project to Acciona Energia and to act as BOP Contractor to Project

On July 21, 2023, Renewable Energy Systems Canada Ltd. ("RES") sold the Forty Mile Wind project to Acciona Energia ("Acciona"). RES will continue its work on the site in County of Fort Mile No. 8 as Balance of Plant construction contractor, with Acciona planning to initiate operations in early 2025. The Forty Mile project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase will feature 49 wind turbines for a total generating capacity of approximately 280 MW, and the second phase will feature 21 wind turbines with an additional capacity of 120 MW. Generating 400 MW at full capacity, the Forty Mile project, located in Alberta, has the potential to become Canada's largest wind farm.

RES, headquartered in Kings Langley, United Kingdom, owns and operates renewable energy projects that develops, finances, constructs and manages wind farms and solar plants.
