On February 10, 2020, Potentia Renewables Inc. announced the closing of its C$268 million financing of the Golden South Wind energy facility.

The Golden South Wind energy facility is approximately 210 megawatt nameplate capacity wind generation project comprised of 50 wind turbines, turbine towers pad mounted transformers meteorological towers and related facilities, situated in the municipality of Assiniboia in the Province of Saskatchewan. The credit facilities are comprised of a fixed rate term facility, a floating rate facility and a letter of credit facility, with terms closely matching the project’s 25 year power purchase agreement. The financing was undertaken by a syndicate of lenders led by National Bank Financial Inc., as administrative agent sole bookrunner and lead arranger, and National Bank of Canada, as issuing bank.
