On September 21, 2004, MMV Financial Inc. announced that it had completed an initial financing round. MMV is a Toronto-based specialty finance company that provides debt financing to technology and life sciences companies in the emerging and mid-market sectors. MMV's opening capitalization will launch the company's C$300 million investment program. The equity component of the financing was led by Conning Capital Partners, a Hartford, Connecticut-based private equity firm. The balance of the equity was provided by Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and the company’s founders. Wells Fargo Foothill, Inc. of Los Angeles provided senior debt.
