McCarthy Tétrault advises Department of Finance Canada on Liability Frameworks in the Context of Open Banking

On January 11, 2019, the Department of Finance Canada announced it was conducting a Review into the Merits of Open Banking in Canada. A critical portion of this review involved investigating the current liability frameworks under financial services and privacy regulations in Canada and contrasting these frameworks with international best practices.
