On March 10, 2023, the development phase began for Infrastructure Ontario and Trillium Health Partners for Ontario’s first progressive public-private partnership DBFM project, for the redevelopment of the Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. The project will increase the facility's service capacity in addition to modernizing its hospital technologies and infrastructure. The resulting facility will be one of the largest and most advanced hospitals in Canada.
