On October 14, 2022 First Student acquired the assets of Badder Bus' home-to-school and school charter operations in Elgin County in Southwestern Ontario.

First Student is North America's largest provider of school bus services, headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Badder Bus has more than 50 years of home-to-school experience in southwestern Ontario. 

McCarthy Tetrault advised First Student with a team led by David F. Blair that included Matthieu Rheault, Alexandre Saulnier-Marceau, Mireille Trottier, Elena Sophie Drouin (M&A and Transportation), Simmy Sahdra (L&E), Robert Di Battista (RPP), Fred Purkey, Geneviève Favreau (Tax).
