On June 5, 2020, Communauto Inc. successfully completed a debt financing with Investissement Québec as lender. The proceeds from the financing will be used to support its continued growth.

Founded in Québec City in 1994, Communauto Inc. is the oldest carsharing service in North America, serving customers across Canada and some operations in France. The service is run on an app-based platform to book and find cars to use temporarily.

Investissement Québec was established in 1998 to favour investment in Quebec by Quebec-based and international companies. Its registered office is located in Quebec City.
