On March 8, 2013, Canadian Overseas Petroleum Limited (COPL or the Company) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Overseas Petroleum Bermuda Limited (COPL Bermuda) announced that it had acquired 100% interest in Liberia oil and gas Block LB-13 from Peppercoast Petroleum Plc for US$135 million.
COPL, headquartered in Alberta, Canada, is an oil and gas exploration company focused on oil prospects in the offshore West African continental margin and shale oil prospects onshore New Zealand.
Peppercoast Petroleum, headquartered in Douglas, Isle of Man, is a new generation oil and gas exploration company.
