On June 19, 2006, Canadian Oil Sands Trust, an open-ended investment trust, announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Canadian Oil Sands Limited, agreed to make an offer to purchase all of the outstanding common shares of Canada Southern Petroleum Ltd. for cash consideration of US$9.75 per common share - approximately C$165 million in aggregate.
