On November 12, 2012, Berkshire Partners announced a growth equity investment in Farm Boy. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Farm Boy, headquartered in Cornwall, Ontario, is a food retailer recognized for its produce, meat, bakery, cheese and fresh kitchen prepared items.

Berkshire Partners, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, is a private equity firm that has invested in over 100 middle market companies since 1986 through eight investment funds with aggregate capital commitments of $11 billion.
